Stephanus Haworth was born about 1712. He was son of George Haworth and Sarah Scarbrough.

He married Rachel Beeson about 1740. Rachel was daughter of Richard Beeson and Charity Grubb.

Stephanus Haworth died in Rowan (now Guilford) County, North Carolina, before 1766 when Rachel married Anthony Chamness at New Garden Monthly Meeting. Anthony was a widower. His first wife was Sarah Cole. Sarah and Anthony had 12 children.
